Standard Admission Prerequisites
Prerequisites to become a Rosewood College Student
We are thrilled that you have chosen us to further your education. Before being granted admission, all students must fulfill the admission pre-requirements.
Canadian Students
18 years of age or older
Alberta high school Diploma, verified through transcript, or non-Alberta equivalent or
At least 60% in the following courses or their equivalents:
English Language Arts 30-1 or English Language Arts 30-2 or
Cast Entrance Exam with minimum score of 75%
Other Canadian Provinces
The student has graduated from grade 12 or equivalent (B.C. high school diploma, B.C. Adult Graduation Diploma, General Educational Development) or an equivalent secondary school completion from another jurisdiction; or
The student is 19 years of age or older before the start of classes and has demonstrated evidence at the appropriate level of literacy, numeracy, comprehension and/or written skills to enable successful completion of the program.
Cast Entrance Exam with minimum score of 75%
International Students
In addition to the standard admission requirements, international students are required to fulfill the following requirements: High School Diploma transcript verification, or by completing a recognized post-secondary degree or diploma program in Canada. To meet this requirement the program must have involved at least two full years of full-time, consecutive academic study in English, and proof of English language proficiency.
High school equivalence and English language proficiency are two separate requirements that international students must meet.
Transcript Verification of International Students
High School diploma transcripts shall be verified via any of the following standard verification agencies:
World Education Services (WES) Or
International Qualifications Assessments (IQAS)
Proof of English Language Proficiency for International Students Under Standard Admission
All international students need to provide proof of their English language proficiency regardless of citizenship or country of origin. All test results must have been obtained within two years of the start date of the program. IELTS (Academic) and TOEFL results are valid for two years from the day of testing. Results that expire prior to the start date of the HCA program will not be accepted. The most widely accepted and recognized language proficiency tests are:
TOEFL iBT minimum overall score of 70
Duolingo minimum overall score of 105
MATURE ADMISSION PREREQUISITS
Canadian and international Students
18 years of age or older
Proof of their English language proficiency

All students under Mature Admission must provide proof of their English language proficiency regardless of citizenship or country of origin.
